Das fünfte jährliche Filmfestival der Côte d’Azur (FRFF) hat im Mai wieder in Cannes stattgefunden. Nicole Goesseringer Muj ist Mitbegründerin dieses erfolgreichen Festivals. Sie lebt in Los Angeles, wo sie ihr eigenes Unternehmen Kultura PR International leitet. Bei vielen Projekten arbeitet sie eng mit Gotham Chandna, Cloud 21 PR zusammen.

Könnte man sagen, dass das Filmgeschäft in „Hollywood“ zur Normalität zurückgekehrt ist?
Nun, ja und nein, auf jeden Fall ist es wieder normaler geworden, nachdem die Pandemie offiziell beendet war, aber jetzt haben wir den Autorenstreik und wahrscheinlich bald den Schauspielerstreik, also ist alles wieder ziemlich zum Stillstand gekommen.
Was waren für Dich die größten Veränderungen seit den letzten Jahren und seit Corona in Ihrer Arbeit und im Filmgeschäft? Die auffälligste Veränderung ist die Fähigkeit, schnell umzuschwenken, wenn ein Plan nicht umgesetzt werden kann.

Wie war es für Dich, , war es für das FRFF dieses Jahr in Cannes? Das FRFF war dieses Jahr wirklich wunderbar. Cannes brummte vor Aktivität und Aufregung. Unser Festival wird jedes Jahr größer und besser!
Gibt es einen „Star“, den Du Dir einmal für Dein Festival wünscht?Ja, Liv Ullmann. Wir haben uns dieses Jahr an ihre Vertreter gewandt, aber sie war während ihrer Zeit in Cannes sehr beschäftigt. Wir würden ihr gerne einen Preis für ihr Lebenswerk überreichen, hoffentlich nächstes Jahr. Wir haben uns jedoch sehr gefreut, in diesem Jahr Louise Salter & Nigel Daly, Diana Madison und Anurag Kashyap besondere Auszeichnungen zu überreichen.

Was war für Dich in Cannes ein Highlight neben dem FRFF? Neben dem FRFF war das Highlight in diesem Jahr für mich, dass ich viele Freunde und Kollegen wiedersehen und ein wenig Zeit mit ihnen verbringen konnte.
Welche Projekte/Pläne hast Du für dieses Jahr ? Wir arbeiten bereits fleißig am FRFF 2024. Außerdem planen wir, im September auf der Biennale in Venedig vertreten zu sein. Wir haben Eliza Daniek offiziell als Direktorin in unser Team geholt, so dass wir jetzt einen großartigen Vertreter in Europa haben.
Wie kannst Du nach dieser arbeitsreichen Zeit entspannen? Ich habe nicht viel Zeit zum Entspannen, aber ich wurde zu einer kurzen Pressereise eingeladen, um die Weinregion der Abruzzen in Italien zu erkunden. Das sollte ein schönes Abenteuer werden.

The fifth annual Film Festival of the Côte d’Azur (FRFF) took place again in Cannes in May. Nicole Goesseringer Muj is co-founder of this successful festival. She lives in Los Angeles, where she runs her own company, Kultura PR International. She works closely with Gotham Chandna, Cloud 21 PR on many projects.
Could you say that the film business in „Hollywood“ has returned to normal? Well yes and no, definitely it became more back to normal after the pandemic officially ended, however, now we have the writers strike, and most likely soon the actors strike, so everything has pretty much halted again.
What have been the biggest noticeable changes for you since last years and since Corona in your work and in the film business? The most noticeable change has been to have the ability to pivot swiftly if a plan can’t be realized.
How was it for you, was it for the FRFF in Cannes this year? FRFF was truly wonderful this year. Cannes was buzzing with activity and excitement. Our festival gets bigger and better every year!
Is there any „Star“ you wish to have at your Festival one time? Yes, Liv Ullmann. we approached her representatives this year but she was very busy during her time at Cannes. We would like to present her with a Lifetime Achievement Award, hopefully next year. We were. however, sincerely delighted this year to present special awards to Louise Salter & Nigel Daly, Diana Madison and Anurag Kashyap.
What was for you the highlight in Cannes besides the FRFF? Besides FRFF, the highlight this year for me was being able to see a lot of friends and colleagues, and spend a little time with them.
Which projects /plans do you have for this year? We are already busy at work on FRFF 2024. We also plan to have a presence at the Biennale in Venice this September. We have brought on Eliza Daniek officially as part of our team as Director, so we now have a great representative in Europe.
How can you relax after this busy times? I don’t have much time to relax, but I was invited on a short press trip to explore the wine region of Abruzzo, Italy. That should be a nice adventure.
